The Dogon people took refuge in the cliffs of Bandiagara several centuries ago. As they were not ready to reject their traditions and religion, they fled Islam and settled along a rock face. Since then, the life of these people has hardly changed. They have kept their habits and their culture and nowadays, most of them still believe in animism. The Dogon’s old villages are still hanging along the cliff. It is just like a fairy story. You will have the opportunity to be part of this ancient culture which is unique with its magical mascots and the Dogon cosmogony.
